Following opening remarks by Professor Ryo Nakai of RCAST, Dr. Bērziņa-Čerenkova delivered a presentation on recent trends in Sino-Russian relations, analyzing the partnership across several strategic dimensions. Her insights prompted a lively roundtable discussion with participants from the floor, covering a broad range of topics including supply chain connectivity, Japanese public opinion on China and Russia, Latvian and Baltic relations with Taiwan, and the security implications of subsea cable sabotage in Europe and the Indo-Pacific.
