Overview

Mongolia occupies a strategically important position between major powers and has attracted increasing international attention for its democratic development, nation-building process, and foreign policy orientation.

This academic conference brings together scholars and specialists from Mongolia and Japan to discuss key issues surrounding Mongolia’s state formation, national identity, and international relations. Through multidisciplinary dialogue, the conference seeks to deepen mutual understanding, promote policy and academic exchange, and establish foundations for future collaborative research initiatives between the two countries.

Purpose:

The conference aims to:

Explore the historical and contemporary processes of Mongolia’s nation-building.
Examine Mongolia’s international relations with neighboring countries and regional organizations.
Analyze foreign perspectives on Mongolia from Japanese, Russian, and broader international viewpoints.
Promote academic networking and policy dialogue between Mongolia and Japan.
Encourage future joint research and educational cooperation.
