2025年1月22日に、ケニア・ナイロビで、ROLES「紛争解決の理論と実践（TPCR）」研究会の篠田英朗教授が、来年度の共同研究成果の公刊を目指した国際研究集会「自由で開かれたインド太平洋（FOIP）と東アフリカ」を主催しました。

また、同23・24日に、（準）地域組織の活動や各国情勢に焦点をあてた追加会合を開催しました。

主要なプレゼンテーションは下記の共同研究メンバーによって行われ、活発な議論を導きました。国際研究集会には、IGAD、国連機関、在ケニア日本大使館職員など実務的専門家の多くの参加がありました。
