Professor Hideaki Shinoda of the ROLES "Theory and Practice of Conflict Resolution (TPCR)" Study Group held a meeting on January 22 in Nairobi, Kenya, aimed at publishing the results of next year's joint research. Additional meetings focusing on the activities of (sub-)regional organizations and the political situations in various countries were held on January 23 and 24. The following individuals gave presentations, followed by lively discussions. Observers from IGAD, UN agencies, and staff from the Embassy of Japan in Kenya also participated.
