宗教はしばしば紛争や対立の原因となると考えられますが、そのような「宗教紛争」の中で宗教の果たす役割はさまざまであり、また状況に伴って変化もします。「宗教紛争」が２９年前に停戦となったボスニアに、中東欧とロシアの宗教史・宗教社会学を専門とする日本人研究者とボスニアの研究者が集まり、宗教が紛争や戦争において果たすさまざまな役割について議論するシンポジウムを開催します。
