東京大学先端科学技術研究センター（RCAST）の創発戦略研究オープンラボ（ROLES）では、UAEアブダビおよびエジプト・カイロに拠点を置くグローバル安全保障・防衛研究所（IGSDA）のサイイド・ゴネイム代表とその訪問団を東京に迎え、5月18日の午前・午後にかけて、ワークショップを開催します。

2026年2月28日に始まったイラン戦争は、ペルシア湾とホルムズ海峡の治安と通航、およびそこに深い関係を有する紅海・バーブ・アル・マンデブ海峡の動静が、日本のエネルギー安全保障を左右する死活的な問題であることを改めて明らかにしました。ペルシア湾と紅海の双方に深い専門性を有するIGSDA訪問団を迎え、イラン戦争の波及と、地域の主要国の軍事・政治・外交的な動きを、中東の軍事・安全保障の専門家と共に検討し、日本が向かうべき道筋を見出します。
