Symposium (at Doshisha University): “Grand Strategies after Biden and Kishida: Whither US-Japan Alliance?”

Both President Joe Biden and Prime Minister Fumio Kishida decided to step down from the current posts. With the coming of the US Presidential election day in November, Japanese peoples are asking whether we can keep the strong alliance relationships with the US. How will the next leaders shape grand strategies of the two allies.  Two eminent scholars from the US and the UK will discuss how grand strategies of the US and Japan will shape the international order in the Indo-Pacific region.
