With the rise of China, the outbreak of the War in Ukraine, and the expansion of the influence of the Global South, the Western Alliance now faces existential challenges. Additionally, domestic public opinion tends to be more reluctant in providing support for the increasing efforts to enhance security alliances and partnerships within liberal democracies, as recent elections suggest. Can the Western Alliance survive in the 21st century? Leading experts from the UK, US and Japan will discuss the fate of the Western Alliance, which faces unprecedented challenges both from external and internal factors
