Current Political Challenges in South-Eastern Europe and the Western Balkans and Its Impact on Global Stability

The High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina has been overseeing the implementation of the Dayton Peace Agreement after the ceasefire of the Bosnian War in 1995. In this public lecture, Christian Schmidt,  the current High Representative, will address today's political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, including opportunities arising from the opening of EU-accession talks as well as threats to the political stability of the state. He will place these issues within regional political developments, the changing security environment and the broader geopolitical context.
