On the afternoon of June 10, 2026, the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology (RCAST) of the University of Tokyo concluded an Academic Cooperation Agreement with the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).

The signing ceremony took place in the Director’s Room at RCAST, where Prof. Masakazu Sugiyama, Director of RCAST of the University of Tokyo, and Datuk Dr. Osman Bakar, Rector of the International Islamic University Malaysia, signed the agreement.

Prof. Satoshi Ikeuchi, Professor at RCAST in the field of Religion and Global Security and Founding Chair of ROLES, and Phar Kim Beng, Professor at the International Islamic University Malaysia and Director of the Institute of the International and ASEAN Studies (IINTAS), were in attendance and witnessing the signing.
