On August 1, 2023, Dr. Kazumasa Hayamaru was appointed as Project Assistant Professor of the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology, the University of Tokyo. 

Dr. Hayamaru specializes in contemporary Chinese diplomatic history and has previously worked at the Japan Institute of International Affairs, Tokyo Gakugei University Faculty of Education, and the University of Tokyo Komaba Organization for Educational Excellence (KOMEX).
