Symposium

Symposium “Russian invasion of Ukraine and Eastern Europe/East of Europe”

Supported by the research grant for diplomacy and security of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, ROLES launched the “Establishment of an Information Platform to Support the Liberal Democratic Order” in fiscal year 2023.
Within this framework, ROLES launched a task force, “Liberal Democracies in Eastern and Central Europe and the Balkans,” to focus its research on the region, which is undergoing a major turning point due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine externally and the transformation of the democratic system domestically.

This symposium aims to introduce some of the activities of the Task Force and will feature the latest analysis of the situation in the region by members of the Task Force. We look forward to your participation.
