hereAn international conference “The Future of Israel-Japan-Gulf Relations: New opportunities in a changing Middle East” is going to be held at the Herzliya Campus of Reichman University, Israel on March 16, 2022.
Abba Eban Institute for International Diplomacy of Reichman University (formerly known as IDC Herzliya) will organize and host this conference which is intended and dedicated to foster the strategic partnership between Israel and Japan, in the context of changing regional dynamics after the Abraham Accords.
Prof. Satoshi Ikeuchi, the founding chair of ROLES, is cooperating and co-organizing this conference and will deliver a speech and take part in panel discussions.
Speakers from Japan include:
- Dr. Tomohiko Taniguchi, Professor, Graduate School of System Design and Management, Keio University and former Special Advisor to the Cabinet of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe
- Dr. Atsuko Higashino, Associate Professor, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Tsukuba whose field of specialization includes EU's Eastern policy and China's Relationship with Eastern European and the Balkan countries
- Mr. Nobukatsu Kanehara, Professor, Faculty of Law Department of Political Science, Doshisha University (online keynote speech) and former Assistant Chief Cabinet Secretary to Prime Minister Shinzo Abe
