She has worked in Japan with companies such as Panasonic, CHANEL, All Nippon Airways, and the design consultancy – softdevice Inc. She is currently researching sonic and haptic interaction design for the future home as part of her PhD studies at the Kyoto Institute of Technology. Her creative process begins with encounters with people, their everyday habits, contextual behaviors, and physical and social environment. Through understanding humans’ shared needs and perceptual patterns, along with an inquiry into their subjective experience and the randomness of reality, she initiates participatory design processes to create with people intelligent objects that exist symbiotically and sustainably in the world.
