Closed Seminar on Thai General Election in May 2023

“Possibilities and Limitations of Liberal Democracy in the Non-Western World:
Considering from the results of the Thai general elections in May 2023”

CSEAS (Center for Southeast Asian Studies) of Kyoto University and the Graduate School of Business Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Tsukuba, in cooperation with ROLES (Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology) of the University of Tokyo, will invite eminent Thai researchers to discuss the outcome of the May 14, 2023 general election and its implications for Thai democracy. Features and possibilities of democracy in Southeast Asia will also be discussed. This seminar is closed one, only for invitees.
