We cordially invite you to an informal in-person seminar and discussion with Dr. Ali Vaez, Director of the Iran Project at the International Crisis Group. The topic of the seminar will be Iran's current situation particularly domestic upheavals and its implications on the transformation of regional security.

Dr. Vaez's presentation is followed by comments by Dr. Kazuto Suzuki, Professor at the Graduate School of Public Policy at the University of Tokyo.

Ali Vaez is Director of the Iran Project at the International Crisis Group and Senior Advisor to the President of the ICG.  He is an adjunct professor at Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service and a Fellow at the Foreign Policy Institute of the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. He served as a Senior Political Affairs Officer at the United Nations Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs and was the Iran Project Director at the Federation of American Scientists.

Kazuto Suzuki is Professor at the Graduate School of Public Policy at the University of Tokyo and Director of the Institute of Geoeconomics at International House of Japan. He served as an expert in the Panel of Experts for Iranian Sanction Committee under the United Nations Security Council from 2013 to July 2015. He is a member of the National Space Policy Committee of the Cabinet Office, the Government of Japan, and the President of Japan Association of International Security and Trade.
